I dont feel like taking back tbike the way they have treated me. They kill the excitement of a new bike with the terrible way they treat you. The manager of the Indiranagar showroom Regan Mathew called me to the showroom all the way from whitefield saying he will give me a Himalayan as a standby, After I reach the store he says there is no bike available. Then, when the bike was sent to their showrooms across India, I went to the dealer and test rode the Interceptor. Having used bikes like the Triumph, Norton, BSA and such like in the good old days of the 60's and 70's, I was used to the British bike rumble.and loved it, so understandably, I wanted one. Then comes the day when it was announced and showcased. But, but, but.when I saw the Interceptor for the first time (somewhere on the web) being tested.I fell flat ! Really ! I couldn't believe that we would get this bike in India and that too from Royal Enfield. And it's still the same, besides cosmetic changes and disc brakes. Rickety engine, vibrations galore, lousy pull, no BHP (for a 350).
But the one's that came in to the market after.no good. The earlier one (1958) was a lovely bike.silent and good. I am a Bullet hater ! Though I have owned three and built one up from scratch in my home garage.
